International Competition Licence:

All athletes who wish to compete at international events must hold a licence.  International Federations include FIS, IBU and ISMF.  

Snowsports Association of Ireland is the NSA (National Ski Association) representing Ireland in FIS, IBU and ISMF.  SAI manages all licences for Irish athletes who compete in snow sports at an international level.  

Applications are now being accepted for the 2026/2027 season in children, youth/junior, senior and master categories.

    specify which sports licence you wish to apply for and which discipline.

  • Documents and Fees required are to obtain a licence:

    • Valid IRL passport
    • Declaration Form
    • Insurance
    • Registration Fee
      • FIS / ISMF / IBU  €325 (Late licence renewals post 31st August 2026 €425) 
      • FIS Masters  €200  (Late licence renewals post 31st August 2026 €270) 
      • Children U14 / U16  €70
