The Snowsports Association of Ireland (SAI) (formerly known as the Ski Association of Ireland) was formed in 1971 to promote the development and growth of Irish Snow Sports. Since its inception as an Alpine skiing organisation, it has grown to include many more winter sports and disciplines such as: Cross Country Skiing, Biathlon, Freestyle Skiing, Mogul Skiing & Aerials, Snowboard, Ski Mountaineering, Telemark, Para Skiing and Freeride Touring.
