It is with very great sadness that we write of the passing of our dear friend and colleague Anne O’Connor who passed away suddenly on Thursday 11th September.

Anne was an integral part of the Snowsports Association of Ireland supporting Irish Snowsports athletes through a variety of different roles. Supporting Irish athletes as Chef de Mission at no less than seven European Youth Olympic Festivals and the Youth Olympic Games in Lillehammer in 2016. Year after year, consistently available to support our athletes with race entries, travel logistics, training camps and good advice.

Anne was tireless in her support for others, always with grace, humility, humanity and humour, happy in the knowledge that she was supporting the fulfilment of dreams. A wonderful friend, always willing to help, even at a moment’s notice, we will all miss her approachability, friendliness and charm.

Anne leaves behind a rich athlete centric legacy – we are committed to continuing this in Anne’s memory.
